Kannan noteworthy - June 2026

UAlbany’s Kurunthachalam Kannan served on a National Academy of Sciences committee to develop recommendations for the clinical follow-up and care of people exposed to contaminated drinking water after two accidental fuel releases in 2021 in Hawaii. Nearly 93,000 people may have been exposed after the releases at the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility on the island of O’ahu.
