Warm Wishes from the University at Albany

An illustrated holiday card. Two students wearing winter coats, scarves and gloves, and a Great Dane with a purple sweater pose in front of the University at Albany, State University of New York, campus entry sign. Snow is on the ground and falling from the sky, and there is a snowman nearby.

This year’s winning holiday card was designed by Sara Sadaat, a junior studying Human Biology. Learn more about this year’s holiday card design contest winners.

Dear UAlbany Community,

With the end of the semester upon us, I want to take a moment to offer my warmest wishes to you for a restful and restorative holiday season.

The past year was marked by many accomplishments for our university and challenges we navigated together. I hope you will take a few moments to visit our 2025 Year in Review website to celebrate all that we achieved together this year.

Thank you for all that you do for our university community. The University at Albany is a positive force in the Capital Region and around the world, and that is a credit to each of you and your contributions to our work.

I hope that the next few weeks are filled with joy and time enjoyed with friends and loved ones. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Go Great Danes!

Sincerely,

Havidán Rodríguez
President
