Public Health Master’s Degree Programs

Make a positive impact in your community by earning a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University at Albany – online or on campus!

Prepare for a successful career in public health through hands-on courses, research opportunities and practice-based experiences enhanced by UAlbany’s unique partnerships – including with the New York State Department of Health and over 475 other organizations and agencies.

Master of Public Health – On Campus 

Pursue your degree full or part time, building a strong foundation in primary public health fields and advancing knowledge in your area of interest. Degree options include biomedical sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, health policy and management, and social behavior and community health.


Master of Public Health – Online

Two online MPH degrees are available: public health practice and epidemiology.

In the Public Health Practice MPH program, you can earn your degree part-time or full-time from anywhere.

In the part-time online Epidemiology MPH, you'll take two courses per term (fall, spring, and summer), completing a total of six courses per year.
