About

Barbara brings an exceptional blend of clinical, academic and continuing education leadership to this role. She has led interprofessional continuing education initiatives, taught across academic levels and played a pivotal role in nursing program accreditation and workforce development.

Areas of experience and interest include community and population health, the psychology of success, and critical thinking. Barbara has held positions as acute care clinical specialist, cardiac nurse practitioner and medical-surgical academic department chair. 

Barbara also serves as adjunct faculty at the College of Integrated Health Sciences where she teaches Evidence Based Nursing Practice in the Nursing Bachelor of Science program. She has a passion for preparing new nurses for today’s healthcare environment.
