Albany, N. Y. (Feb. 5, 2026) — UAlbany celebrated the official opening of the Thrive Hub in the Campus Center Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to a packed house of students, faculty and staff. Speakers included President Havidán Rodríguez, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Mike Christakis and Middle Earth President Amaya Neuwirth.

The Thrive Hub serves as a welcoming, central destination where students can find a sense of belonging and connection along with access to resources for health and wellness, financial literacy, career readiness and more. Located on the podium level just off the Campus Center main lobby, the space represents the next phase of Thrive UAlbany, the campus-wide wellness initiative launched last month to help students navigate their college experience with confidence and support.

The Thrive Hub is currently hosting a series of programs designed to support students' wellbeing and success, reflecting the University's commitment to student-centered care and helping students thrive during their college journey and beyond.
