University at Albany Libraries hosted a Banned Books Read-Out on Monday as part of this year's Great Dane Dialogue, a week of panels on navigating civil discourse in a divided society. In addition to readings from banned and challenged books, individuals engaged in open discussions about the importance of intellectual freedom, the historical context of banned books and the ongoing struggle against censorship.
