ALBANY, N.Y. (July 29, 2025) — The University at Albany has launched a new research website that not only highlights the work our scientists are doing to advance the public good but also provides a snapshot of the impact of federal research funding cuts.

“It has never been more urgent to tell the story of how the research that happens at UAlbany every day is improving lives,” said Vice President for Research and Economic Development Thenkurussi (Kesh) Kesavadas. “UAlbany research is promoting healthier lives, a cleaner environment, building communities more resilient to climate change and expanding our understanding of how new technologies like AI are changing human society. Everyone on this campus, and throughout the Capital Region, should be proud of the work UAlbany faculty and students are doing in the name of the public good. I am inspired by it daily.”

Included in the site is a dashboard, updated weekly, that summarizes the number of federal grants impacted by recent grant terminations, as well as the number of faculty and students affected by those terminations.

Explore the new research website and share it with your network to help spread the word about the good work our friends and colleagues are doing.
