Lights, Camera, UAlbany: Amazon Prime's 'College Tour' Visits Campus

ALBANY, N.Y. (Feb. 25, 2025) — The University at Albany will be featured in an upcoming episode of Amazon Prime's The College Tour, and UAlbany students will get a chance to star in the production.
A TV series focused on the college experience from a student point-of-view, The College Tour was created by Alex Boylan, the second-season winner of The Amazing Race. Boylan, now a TV host and producer, was inspired by his niece's journey to find the perfect college. The show, which started in 2020, provides a glimpse of what students will find when they arrive on a college campus, including housing, academics and the student experience.
UAlbany's episode will showcase the University's story through the perspectives of its undergraduate and graduate students, with a focus on campus life, academics and research, study abroad, campus resources, first-generation student stories, internships, athletics and life in the Capital Region.
Up to 10 UAlbany students will have an opportunity to serve as "hosts" for the episode. Students can apply by submitting The College Tour's form, uploading a 2-minute audition video that explains who you are, your major and why you love UAlbany.
The deadline for submission is March 2, but casting is being conducted on a rolling basis, so students should apply as soon as possible.
In addition to Amazon Prime and other streaming services, The College Tour is available as a free The College Tour app and website, which reaches more than 60,000 high school counselors nationwide.
