ALBANY, N.Y. (Jan. 16, 2024) — UAlbany’s Graduate School is opening a satellite office in the Lecture Centers on the Uptown Campus, bringing graduate resources closer to the bulk of the student community.

The new office opens Wednesday in LC27 with a host of resources for students to learn more about UAlbany’s graduate offerings. The office will be staffed by professionals from the Graduate School, graduate assistants and graduate ambassadors.

“The new Graduate School satellite office will offer our undergraduate students a convenient and accessible location to learn more about UAlbany’s outstanding graduate programs,” said Christine Wagner, interim dean of The Graduate School. “Students can stop in to get advice on which of our 85 master’s programs or 39 doctoral programs are right for them given their career goals. Students can also learn about our combined programs which allow them to get started on their master’s degree as early as their junior year with our 4+1 bachelor’s/masters programs.”

The office will offer brochures on various programs, and students will also have an opportunity to speak with current graduate students about their experiences.

Regular office hours are 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 12-3 p.m. on Fridays. There also will be workshops and meet-ups hosted by graduate ambassadors, and sessions hosted by staff from UAlbany’s schools and colleges to share details about specific programs.
