UAlbany President Havidán Rodríguez, Hudson Valley President Roger Ramsammy and Albany Law School President and Dean Alicia Ouellette prepare to unveil a new program on Wednesday, Aug. 25, designed to expand opportunities for students throughout New York and beyond.

The Department of Psychology's Behavioral Neuroscience doctoral program is seeing its largest-ever cohort of PhD students graduate, and five out of the six of this outstanding group are women of color.

More than 3,000 first-year students, from 21,000-plus applicants, are joining UAlbany’s Class of 2025 – the largest incoming class in University history. Approximately 1,200 transfer students and 1,520 graduate students are also joining the campus community this fall.

Working with the University at Albany, the New York State Department of Health released data showing the effectiveness of vaccines in the fight against COVID-19 – showing that vaccinations remain the best way for New Yorkers to protect themselves, families and communities from COVID-19 and its most severe outcomes such as hospitalization.

As we look forward to a more regular campus environment this fall, abiding by protocols and requirements will ensure all community members’ health and safety – and also will bring back, and maintain, the vibrancy we’ve all missed the past year and a half.
