Don’t sleep on FAFSA!

If we could shout it from the top of the carillon we would – fill out your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)! It’s required to determine your financial need and how much aid you qualify for.  If you want help filling it out, contact our office.  


Start the Financial Aid Process

  1. Complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (Required for all incoming first-year and transfer students applying for financial aid awards.) UAlbany school code: 002835
  2. File the FAFSA by December 1 to receive priority consideration for financial aid awards.
  3. Visit our Apply for Financial Aid as a First-Year Student or Apply for Financial Aid as a Transfer Student pages for detailed instructions. 

 

Put in the Work for Scholarships 

While many scholarships are based on merit and academic performance, not all of them are. There are scholarships for practically every special interest and activity, but figuring out what you qualify for requires research. With some effort, you may be able to find aid from surprising sources.
