About

Vanderover believes that real-world experience is crucial to preparing students for industry. Accordingly, he worked as a lead mechanical engineer in the power and water division of General Electric Global Research.

Before UAlbany, he taught as an assistant professor at Hudson Valley Community College, a visiting assistant professor at Union College and as an adjunct professor Siena University. His first experience as an educator came while studying at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he was a teaching assistant.
