Research interestsI am a Ph. D. Candidate in Anthropology (2019) and I focus my research in Nahua religion led by catechists and prayer specialists knows as “motiochihuanih” from northern Veracruz, Mexico. I carry out my research through an anthropological and an ethnohistoric approach. Since 2014 until now, I document Nahua religion in Nahua indigenous communities in the Huasteca region, Veracruz. Currently, I conduct fieldwork in four Nahua communities in Chicontepec, Veracruz, through the financial support received in charge of the Stresser-Péan foundation and the Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artístico de Zacatecas sponsored by the Mexican government.
