Professional Interests
As an undergraduate, he was a four-year starter on the Mount Saint Mary College baseball team and his love of sport was the catalyst for his special interest in the field of sport psychology. Dr. Monserrat has been a member of the CAPS staff since 2003.
Approach to Therapy
He prides himself on meeting students where they are at and having genuine, down-to-earth discussions, as it relates to their concerns. Dr. Monserrat draws from a variety of approaches in his work with students.
Approach to Wellness
Dr. Monserrat believes that people are the experts on themselves, and they know what works for them and what doesn’t. He sees his role as helping people re-discover the things that have served them well or learn new ways to approach life's challenges.
