Professional Interests 

Dr. Freidenberg’s professional interests include addictions (e.g. substances, sex, gaming, phone, social media), anxiety, adolescence, relationships, and trauma. He regularly teaches graduate-level courses on cognitive behavioral therapy, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Freidenberg has been mentored by therapists renowned for their work in anxiety and addiction.

Approach to Therapy 

Dr. Freidenberg is a culturally responsive cognitive behavioral therapist. An important part of his approach to therapy is his appreciation and admiration of culture. Dr. Freidenberg is a clinical psychologist who also has an MSW. Thus, he is a very well-trained therapist who understands the unique impacts of culture, environment, and systems on people's lives.

Approach to Wellness 

Dr. Freidenberg believes in the power of hope and the concept of resiliency. He lives a joyful life and finds strength and support in many places. Dr. Freidenberg enjoys swimming, bicycling, literature, film, art, travel, music, and spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and a proud supporter of his hometown NFL team, the Buffalo Bills!
