About

Professional Interests

I’m interested in the democratic aims of higher education. My focus is on college instructors, in particular, what instructors need to feel motivated and equipped to promote civic learning in their classrooms (that is, to help students develop the skills, values and knowledge needed to effectively make collaborative decisions and solve shared problems).

Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy draws on multiple styles and theoretical traditions, including existential, Gestalt and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

My core philosophy is that genuine human connection is the foundation for change; I work collaboratively with clients to build on this foundation and make therapy a space for safety, curiosity and possibility.

Approach to Wellness

I do my best to take care of the basics (sleep! food and water! etc.!) while also finding as much joy in my life as I can. Right now, the things that bring me joy are ice skating, nature walks, eating good food with friends and hanging out with the people I love.
