Events & Observances

While February is the only month to have fewer than 30 days, it is not short on holidays and cultural awareness.

African American History Month pays tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship in American society.

Black History Month is a chance for Americans to learn about their nation’s history. Black history is American history — a history that shapes and informs the future. Set aside sometime this month to learn more about Black history.

Ethnic Equality Month celebrates the similarities all people have, yet appreciates and respects the differences in all of us. Everyone is equal and deserves equal rights and equal opportunities.
