Cannabis Considerations for the Public Health and Healthcare Workforce

Live Airing on Tuesday, December 15, 2026 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Overview

Cannabis use looks different at every stage of life, and so does the risk it carries. This session walks through current epidemiological data on cannabis use from pregnancy and breastfeeding through older adulthood, then connects each life stage to the Office of Cannabis Management's (OCM) education response and first-in-the-nation Center of Excellence for medical cannabis and health equity — including Listen and Learn sessions, the Youth and Trusted Adults campaign, safe storage promotion, the Older Adults Campaign, and OCM's core public health messages — with an orientation to the online education library for public health and health care providers to better serve their communities and patients who use cannabis.
