Overview

This webinar addresses issues of Latino health inequity on Long Island, the first large-scale suburb in the United States. As more Latino immigrants bypass cities and settle directly in suburban communities, health care and social service providers are increasingly challenged to provide adequate and appropriate care.

This webinar will examine the landscape of the health conditions and other concerns for Latinos on Long Island and will focus on promising solutions and policy changes.

Target Audience

Public health professionals, environmental professionals, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, local health department staff and other medical and public health professionals.
