Showcase Day is a university-wide classroom free-day event designed to spotlight student excellence in research, scholarship, creative activities, and experiential learning. More than 1,500 students will participate in this event and present projects they developed as part of coursework or under the supervision of faculty mentors. Visitors will include students, faculty, and staff, community leaders, and middle and high school students.

The Department of Communication will participate in Showcase Day with a total of 19 presentations. "Showcase Day is a wonderful opportunity to show the great work COM and JRL students and instructors do to the campus and local communities," said Masahiro Yamamoto, the Chair of the Department of Communication. "Students have worked so hard to prepare for this day. They have a lot to share with audiences. I am so looking forward to learning about their work and accomplishments."
