Wayne Lawrence was appointed Earl Stadtman tenure-track investigator in the Metabolic Epidemiology Branch of the NIH. Dr. Lawrence’s research has advanced understanding of how economic and social factors, such as housing and neighborhood conditions, drive cancer disparities and premature mortality.

Join UAlbany's Center for the Elimination of Health Disparities on Saturday, May 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a community event examining the health and well-being of individuals returning to their communities after incarceration. Our speakers will discuss how reentry is inseparable from public health, racial equity, and community resilience. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Clinical Psychology PhD student Jason Choi studies the effects of social media on mental health as a research Fellow at UAlbany’s Center for the Elimination of Health Disparities.
