Prof. Beth Feingold presented the project "Fresh produce Recovery and redistribution for Environmental Sustainability and Health" at the Smart Urban Food Systems Summit, in Brooklyn, NY. The summit gathered 70 researchers, policymakers, entrepeneurs, data scientists, and urban planners. Prof. Xiaobo Xue Romeiko, Yetunde Sorunmu (Post-doc) and Mariana Torres Arroyo (PhD Student) also attended the event and participated in the FFAR Tipping Points program grantees from the University of Albany, Case Western Reserve University, Michigan State University, Colorado State University, and the Sustainable Food Center. These multidisciplinary research teams shared insights into their work developing food systems models and interventions in cities across the country.

Christine Bozlak and Akiko Hosler from UAlbany, and Roni Neff from Johns Hopkins University, presented their work at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting and Expo 2019.

Yetunde Sorunmu (Post-doc - Beth Feingold / Xiaobo Xue Romeiko) presented a talk talk titled: "Reducing Agricultural Environmental Waste Using Life Cycle Assessment" as part of her participation at the third Civil and Environmental Engineering Rising Stars Workshop, hosted by the MIT Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE).
