Membership Rates

A Campus Recreation membership will give you access to all of our facilities including: The SEFCU Fitness Center, Aquatics Center, PE Squash/Racquetball/Handball courts, outdoor basketball courts, outdoor tennis courts, and the PE Basketball Courts*.

*These facilities are only available during open recreation basketball hours.

Memberships do not include access to group exercise classes unless otherwise stated. Group exercise passes can be purchased for an additional fee. Please refer to the Group Exercise Rates tab for additional information.

Semester Membership: Date of Purchase - January 22nd, 2019 Academic Annual Membership: Date of Purchase - August 16th, 2019

Policies

Campus Recreation Members and Group Exercise Pass Holders are responsible for understanding and abiding by the following Campus Recreation policies.

Age Requirements

Memberships and Group Exercise Passes may only be purchased/used by patrons who are at least 18 years old.

Expiration Dates

Memberships and Group Exercise Passes are offered on a semester basis and may only be used during the semester in which they were purchased. Memberships will expire on the last day of finals. Group Exercise Passes will expire on the last day Group Exercise classes are offered for that semester.

No ID=No Entry!

A SUNY ID card or Campus Recreation Membership Card is required in order to access any Campus Recreation space. Desk staff do not have the ability to look up memberships or ID numbers. No exceptions will be made.

Group Exercise Passes

Access to Group Exercise classes is only included in the UAlbany Graduate Student membership and the Albany Law School Student membership. All other patrons must purchase a Group Exercise Pass for access to classes.

Locker Room Access & Rentals

Access to the PE General Locker Rooms and day use lockers is included in the purchase of a Membership. To rent a locker in the PE General Locker Room or SEFCU Faculty/Staff Locker Room additional fees apply. Access to the SEFCU Faculty/Staff Locker Room is for UAlbany faculty/staff members who have rented a locker in that room.

Lost or Stolen Membership Cards

If your membership card is lost or stolen please notify the Recreation Sales Office or email us at recreationservices@albany.edu. Replacement cards are available at the Recreation Services Office and are subject to a $5 replacement fee.

Parking Passes

Members or Group Exercise Pass holders may purchase a $5 parking permit from Parking Management for access to the SEFCU Arena Parking Lot. Permits must be purchased at Parking Management, and members must bring their membership card and membership receipt with them. UAlbany students and affiliates are not eligible to purchase a SEFCU Arena Parking Lot Permit.

Indian and Colonial Fitness Centers

Campus Recreation Memberships do not include access to the Colonial or Indian Quad Fitness Centers. No exceptions will be made.

Refunds

Campus Recreation understands that sometimes lifestyles, schedules, and commitments change. If you purchase a Membership that you can no longer use, Campus Recreation will provide you with a full or partial refund. For a full refunds, a request must be received no later than 2 weeks after the date of purchase. For a 75% refund, a request must be received between 2-4 weeks after the date of purchase. For a 50% refund, a request must be received between 4-6 weeks after the date of purchase.
Full or partial refunds are only provided if the refund is requested within 6 weeks of purchase. Refunds will not be provided if the request is submitted later than 6 weeks after the membership was purchased.
Refund request forms are available here and in the Recreation Services Office and should be submitted to the Recreation Services Office once filled out. Upon refund approval, Campus Recreation Membership cards must be returned.

Unexpected Closures/Cancellations

Campus Recreation strives to provide out patrons with the best experience possible in our facilities. Unfortunately, there are times when facilities or programs will need to be closed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, unexpected maintenance issues, etc). If these closures or cancellations occur, we will make every attempt to notify patrons in a timely manner. Closure/cancellation notices will be posted on our website, social media accounts, and in our facilities.

Membership

Campus Recreation Memberships provide patrons with the ability to use Campus Recreation facilities.. Memberships are available at various rates - view the eligibility requirements to see which you qualify for! All memberships can be purchased at the Recreation Services Office located on the first floor of the Physical Education Building. Accepted forms of payment are credit/debit, check, or money order. A form of identification is required to purchase any membership.

UAlbany Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students do not need to purchase a membership to use the Campus Recreation facilities! The membership for undergraduate students registered for classes is included as part of the Student Initiated Fee. To access our facilities, simply bring your UAlbany ID card with you!

Semester Membership Cost: None!

Eligibility: Registered Undergraduate Students

UAlbany Faculty/Staff

UAlbany Faculty/Staff do not pay a fee for a Campus Recreation membership! To access our facilities, simply bring your UAlbany ID card with you to access the facilities. Please note that there is a fee associated with other services, including locker rentals and Group Exercise Passes.

Semester Membership Cost: None!

Eligibility: Current UAlbany Faculty/Staff

UAlbany Graduate Student Membership

Graduate students may purchase a Campus Recreation membership each semester they are registered for class credits. This membership allows for complete access to Campus Recreation facilities and programs, including group exercise and outdoor pursuits!

Semester Membership Cost: $45

Eligibility: Registered Graduate Students

Affiliate Membership

The Campus Recreation Affiliate membership is designed for individuals servicing the UAlbany community without a Faculty/Staff status! This membership can be purchased in both a semester and academic annual length. This membership allows for access to all Campus Recreation facilities! Academic Annual memberships will expire at the end of the third consecutive semester (Fall, Spring, Summer).

Semester Membership Cost: $45

Academic Annual Membership Cost: $120

Eligibility: Visiting Scholars, Volunteers, Research Foundation Employees, Sodexo Employees, UAS Employees, and Albany Law School Students

Associate Membership

The Campus Recreation Associate memberships is created with family in mind! This membership is for individuals who have a connection to the UAlbany community. This membership can be purchased in both a semester and academic annual length. It includes access to all Campus Recreation facilities! Academic Annual memberships will expire at the end of the third consecutive semester (Fall, Spring, Summer).

Semester Membership Cost: $125

Academic Annual Membership Cost: $290

Eligibility: UAlbany Alumni, Spouse/Partner of a current Faculty/Staff member, Albany Law School Faculty/Staff

Community Membership

The Campus Recreation Community Membership is for all individuals who are ineligible for previously listed membership types. This membership can be purchased in both a semester and academic annual length. This membership allows for access to all Campus Recreation facilities! Academic Annual memberships will expire at the end of the third consecutive semester (Fall, Spring, Summer).

Semester Membership Cost: $160

Academic Annual Membership Cost: $370

Eligibility: Everyone!

Day Pass

The Campus Recreation Department offers a Day Pass option for individuals looking to try out the facilities and programs. Day passes provide unlimited access to Campus Recreation facilities and programs on the date of purchase. Day Passes are only valid on the date listed on the membership card.

Day Pass Cost: $8

Eligibility: Everyone!

Group Exercise Pass

Group Exercise Passes provide the user with unlimited access to classes for the semester during which the pass was purchased. This pass can be purchased alongside a Campus Recreation membership or on its own! The group exercise class schedule for the current semester will be provided upon purchase.

All Group Exercise Passes can be purchased at the Recreation Services Office located on the first floor of the Physical Education Building. Accepted forms of payment are credit/debit, check, or money order.

Semester Group Exercise Pass - $50

Eligibility: Everyone! (Undergraduate students and Graduate Students with a Campus Recreation membership have access included in their memberships!)
