US News Ranks University at Albany School of Business
U.S. News and World Report has ranked the University at Albany School of Business MBA 86th in the U.S. (out of 448 AACSB accredited schools). Dean Donald Siegel stated "This is the first time in the history of the school that we have been ranked in the top 100 by U.S. News. Our ranking places us above much larger, elite private and public universities, such as North Carolina State, Rensselaer, Thunderbird, the University of Oregon, Stony Brook, and the University of Miami. A key reason for the jump in our ranking is our outstanding job placement. According to U.S. News, we were #1 in the U.S (tied with three other institutions), in terms of job placement for full-time MBA students (100% placement of students three months after graduation)."
The UAlbany School of Business was the first business school to be accredited by AACSB at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2001, the school achieved separate AACSB accreditation for accounting and is currently one of only three public universities in NY State with dual AACSB accreditation (the others are Baruch and Buffalo). This fall, a new state-of-the-art $64 million, 96,000 square foot, LEED certified School of Business building will open.
Undergraduate degrees in business include concentrations in Entrepreneurship, Information Technology Management, Management, Marketing and the Financial Analyst Honors Program.
