Jürgen Popp is a co-director of the Center for Biophotonic Technology and Artificial Intelligence (CeBAI) and an adjunct professor in UAlbany’s Department of Chemistry.

Dr. Popp is a professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, Germany, and a scientific director of the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT) in Jena.

His research focuses on the application of spectroscopic technology for medical diagnostics.
