Dorothea Roberts

Dorothea is a Licensed Master Social Worker who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Columbia University and advanced Doctoral study (ABD) in Gerontological Social Work from Fordham University. Dorothea was a Fellow with the Gerontological Society of America. 

Dorothea has worked in various capacities with the elderly in a variety of senior settings. Dorothea has also designed clinical programs such as the Eldercare Information Program, The Family Resolutions Program and The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Counseling arm of Mt. Sinai Hospital's 9/11 World Trade Center Medical Monitoring Program (CUNY Queens College satellite site). 

Additionally, Dorothea has worked with children and adult populations in urban, suburban and rural regions of the northeast and southeast. Dorothea has experience working at hospitals, clinics, community-based organizations, schools, prisons and private practice. 

Dorothea has informed policy decision-making, taught undergraduate and graduate psychology courses as well as graduate social work courses, conducted research and worked administratively.
