About

I graduated from UAlbany in December of 2012 with my Master of Arts degree in Philosophy. My primary interests were in ethics and political philosophy. My research focus was in political philosophy and my master’s thesis utilized John Rawls’ The Law of Peoples to create a normative account of humanitarian intervention. I had a wonderful experience in all of my courses at UAlbany. I earned my philosophy degree immediately after earning my juris doctorate and post-doctoral Master of Laws in international law (LLM), so I especially enjoyed the freedom of thought in my philosophy courses that I not been able to explore in my prior degree programs. In particular, I remember Dr. Jon Mandle and his courses fondly.

I currently serve as Assistant Professor, Legal Studies Program Lead, and Honors Program Director at Indiana Tech. Previously, I served for several years as a professor of practice at Northern Arizona University in The W.A. Franke College of Business, with a teaching focus in corporate business ethics and legal compliance. I do bring my interdisciplinary legal and philosophical background to every class I teach. I strive to provide my legal studies students with a strong focus on ethics and professionalism and I utilize a combination of case-based and inquiry-based approaches to teaching my law courses.

Lastly, I love it when I have the chance to teach an ethics course in our college of business or when I am able to bring philosophical content into my law courses. I also miss New York state very much!
