A Midsummer Night’s Dream - Mar. 3-8, 2026

by William Shakespeare

Directed by Michael Schantz

Arena Theatre

The Performing Arts Center’s newly renovated Arena Theatre transforms into an enchanted forest for one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. In this surreal world of magic and mischief, A Midsummer Night’s Dream explores the maddening entanglements of love, longing, and illusion. As reality slips into dream, fairies weave their magic, guiding—and misleading—humans for their own whimsical delight. This spellbinding production is directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Acting Michael Schantz, making his UAlbany debut.
