Overview

Funder seeks to fund pioneering research leading to greater understanding, prevention, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

Two types of awards:

Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards, for those within 5 years of degree conferral: $100,00 per year, for two years.

Standard Awards, divided into two tracks, each designed to support high risk, high reward, innovative research in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias: $100,000 per year, for up to three years. The two tracks in the standard award are:

Early career- withing 15 years of degree conferral
Independent Investigator- Applicants from outside the Alzheimer’s field and cross-disciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged. Applicants should not hold an active R01 (or equivalent) for the same of closely related research topic.

Important Information

For the independent investigator track, it is highly competitive and prioritizes innovation.

Of note: the funder also seeks to fund research on the topic of macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Process

This is a single step application process:

Fill out the Sponsored Programs Administration's Proposal Request Form to be assigned a research administrator.

The application will be managed by SPA, and you will work with your assigned research administrator.

All required information, in final form, needs to be submitted to SPA no later than five business days before submission deadline.
