Overview

Funder seeks to provide start-up monies for new research projects in the field of neuroscience that will likely lead to funding from NIH or other outside sources. Funder is especially interested in junior faculty, tenure track/tenured assistant/associate professors, who are working in new research directions.

This is a limited submission opportunity with internal competition. Only one submission is permitted by the funder, per institution.

Funds will cover direct costs only.

If you are considering an application in which you are the Principal Investigator, please ensure you meet PI eligibility requirements.

Process

Since this is a limited submission opportunity with internal competition, interested faculty should submit a one-page outline by September 16 to AVP of Research and limited submission coordinator, Satyen Kumar. Please copy [email protected].
One page submission should include the following, after consulting the funder's guidelines:
  • What is your proposal and does it meet the funder's guidelines?
  • What is the impact?
  • How do you plan to use the funding over the time period?
Selected applicant will be notified by October 5 and then work with OCFR to submit an LOI to the funder. All required documents will be due to OCFR no later than October 16.
