Overview

Recognizing the impact on loss of NIH funding, this funder seeks to support the completion or partial completion of terminated NIH grants focused on abortion or contraception in the US.

Funding is limited to grants focused on abortion and/or contraception in the US that were terminated by the NIH after January 20, 2025. NIH research grants (eg, R series) and research training and career development grants (eg, K series) are eligible for funding. Terminated grants from other federally-funded agencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis; those that have not been peer-reviewed will not be considered.

Funder anticipates supporting five grants in 2025 and five grants in 2026.

Important Information

Not for research where funding has not been terminated, nor for new research.
Proposal can be completed within 24 months.
Rolling deadline: opportunity closes when funds for the given year are exhausted.

Process

This is a single step application process.
•          Interested parties should immediately complete the SPA Proposal Request Form to be assigned a research administrator.
•          The application will be managed by the SPA, and you will work with your assigned research administrator.
•          All required information, in final form, needs to be submitted to SPA no later than five days before your submission deadline.
