Paul Morgan Presents Findings on STEM Achievement Gaps
On September 14, ISHE Director Paul L. Morgan presented as a part of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) EDU Core Research (ECR) Program's 10th Anniversary.
The ECR program supports science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education research and projects that build capacity to conduct STEM education research.
In his presentation, "Mathematics and science achievement gaps begin early, persist, and are largely explained by modifiable factors," Morgan presented findings that suggest addressing mathematics and science achievement gaps in United States elementary schools may help to broaden participation in the STEM workforce.
