Full Request for Proposal

Overview

Funder seeks to support "Health Solutions Science", described as rigorous, relevant, and actionable research into the behavioral, clinical, social, economic, and environmental drivers of health.

The Pathways for Health Research Collective is launching a one-time collaborative request for applications designed to help build health solutions science’s record of impact. Funder encourages applicants to take big swings, seize the opportunity to build on research that has proven promising, and think deeply about how to build on the evidence to help people live longer, healthier lives.
Funder is interested in projects that:

Address a significant health burden in the United States;

Apply well-supported knowledge to achieve a meaningful change in health outcomes or valid proxies;

Rigorously measure that change in a real-world setting;

Draw on the leadership, organizational commitments, and contributed resources needed to fully carry out the work; and

Show how health solutions science in practice informs innovations in policy, process, or practice in a way that could be applied in other settings, populations, or at even greater scale (e.g. from a local to a national setting).

There is no limit to the number of applications per organization. The foundation is open to all projects that would demonstrate that health solutions science is rigorous and can measurably improve health outcomes when applied at greater-than-pilot scale. Grant requests are expected to complement, not fully fund, the full scope of work. Highly collaborative, cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary proposals are expected.
