Overview of Simons Fellows in Mathematics
Through the Simons Fellows, funder seeks to support outstanding mathematics faculty at research universities by providing research leave for uninterrupted time to pursue significant research projects.
The foundation expects to award up to 50 mathematics fellowships this cycle.
Applications to the Simons Fellows are due October 1, 2026 by noon E.T.
About the Simons Symposia
Separately, the Simons Foundation also offers by invitation only the Simons Symposia, bringing together mathematicians, theoretical physicists and theoretical computer scientists to interact and collaborate in a series of three symposia, held every two years and focusing on one topic or a tightly connected group of topics. Participants are required to attend all events during the symposium. The foundation will also make travel arrangements for all participants and will provide support at the conference site. All expenses will be covered by the foundation, including travel, lodging and meals.
Applications to the Simons Symposia are due September 30, 2026 by noon E.T.

Fill out the Sponsored Programs Administration's Proposal Request Form to be assigned a research administrator.
The application will be managed by SPA, and you will work with your assigned research administrator.
All required information, in final form, needs to be submitted to SPA no later than five business days before submission deadline.
