This program offers a captivating journey through classical and romantic masterpieces, starting with Mozart’s elegant Violin Sonata in E-flat Major, K. 302, showcasing his signature balance of grace and complexity. Beethoven’s Sonata No. 9 in A Major, Op. 47 "Kreutzer" follows, a monumental work that pushes the boundaries of the violin-piano duo with its fiery intensity and emotional depth.
The duo will then turn to Korngold’s Suite from "Much Ado About Nothing," a vibrant and cinematic set of pieces inspired by Shakespeare’s comedy, brimming with lush romanticism. The program concludes with Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 45, a stirring and dramatic work, full of Nordic character and virtuosic flair.
