Kirsten L. Anderson

Kirsten L. Anderson (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute for Social and Health Equity (ISHE) at the University at Albany. Her research program focuses on understanding contextual factors that contribute to children's cognitive and social development. She is particularly interested in identifying modifiable features of educational environments that contribute to children's development of executive function (EF) skills.

As a member of the ISHE team, Dr. Anderson studies the association between bullying victimization and children's academic achievement and socio-emotional well-being, and the unique experiences of students with EF difficulties. To do this work, she uses advanced quantitative methods such as structural equation modeling (SEM) and multilevel modeling (MLM).
