Through industrial internships with globally recognized organizations and academic research experiences, you will secure knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and develop the critical skills and techniques necessary to achieve lasting success in the dynamic world of nanoscience and nanoengineering.
You'll gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research areas. By working with faculty and industry collaborators, you will use state-of-the-art semiconductor cleanroom facilities, wafer fabrication techniques and bioengineering labs to prepare you for careers that bridge the microelectronics and biotechnology sector. It’s all located at the Albany NanoTech Complex — a state-of-the-art semiconductor wafer R&D facility with manufacturing-capable tools, including the only EUV lithography tool in a public-private setting.
You'll learn from experienced, dedicated and internationally recognized experts in nanoscale-centered disciplines. Combined with small class sizes and a hands-on approach to learning, our faculty members provide you with the critical knowledge, skill sets and support for a lifetime of innovation-based career options.
