Student Mail Delivery
If you are leaving campus permanently please submit a change of address form. The form is accessible from the FORMS link on the left hand side of this page.
Things to know...
- Mail Services distributes mail to on-campus students only. If you live off campus, you must use your off campus address or get a PO Box at Stuyvasent Plaza to receive mail-related items.
- Box numbers are issued by the Department of Residential Life and are linked to your living assignment. Make sure to have your box number on all your incoming mail items.
- Standard letter size mail-items will be distributed in your assigned mailbox. Mail Services distributes mail once a day, Monday through Friday, in the residential areas.
- Packages will be distrubted at the mail room facility. The pickup window hours are 12:00pm to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. An email notification will be sent to your assigned UAlbany email address.
ATTENTION! YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATION WHEN THERE IS MAIL IN YOUR ON-CAMPUS MAILBOX.
WHERE WILL OTHER MAIL BE DELIVERED?
All express mail (USPS Express Mail, UPS Next-Day and Second-Day Air, FedEx Overnight, and DHL Express) is received in the main mail facility. If you are expecting a package and have not received an email just call Mail Services at 518-442-3272 and the package tracking system can checked to see if it has arrived yet.
Insured, certified, registered and postage-due items arriving from the Postal Service are also kept at the main mail facility and handled in the same manner as above.
