The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center
The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC), located on the first floor of the Campus Center West addition in room O190, is a safe space for all students to engage in dialogue around the intersections of Gender & Sexuality on our campus and in our society.
Core to our mission is providing Community, Pride and Empowerment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Non Binary and Gender Non Conforming (LGBTQ+) spectrum students and their allies. The center is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all LGBTQ+ persons at UAlbany. The GSRC enhances the University commitment to social justice and diversity by supporting students of all backgrounds and cultural identities and is a valuable source of support and networking for students, faculty and staff.
The GSRC is open: when school is in session Please check our Calendar for Virtual Office Hours
The GSRC & the MRC are part of the Office of Intercultural Student Engagement

Statement from UAlbany President Robert J. Jones on the Supreme Court’s Decision Regarding Same-sex Marriage

UAlbany junior Yanelis Martinez is one of eight individuals chosen by the Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute to join the 2015 Class of Victory Congressional Interns. A summer intern in the Washington, D.C., office of Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva, Martinez was chosen from a pool of more than 100 national applicants.

UAlbany faculty experts are available to discuss a range of issues related to the concepts of self-identification, race relations and gender relations, including the concept of 'whiteness,' gender inclusion, diversity and multiracialism; as related to former Spokane NAACP president Rachel Dolezal and U.S. Olympic champion Caitlyn Jenner.

UAlbany’s Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) serves as a home away from home for many students, including junior Joe Diamond, a human biology major.
