Lead the way in protecting public health and the environment with an advanced degree from the University at Albany.

At UAlbany's Department of Environmental Health Sciences, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to take action on some of today’s most pressing global challenges: protecting communities and ecosystems from the impacts of climate change, improving food systems to ensure safe and sustainable nutrition, and assessing how extreme weather and environmental contaminants affect public health, to name a few.

You’ll learn to analyze patterns in air and water quality, evaluate environmental policies, and develop data-driven solutions that reduce health risks and promote environmental resilience.

Whether you’re guiding policy, leading community-based initiatives, or advancing research on the links between environment and health, you’ll be prepared to make a meaningful difference in building healthier, more sustainable communities.
