Ten Steps to a Breastfeeding Friendly Practice

The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the process to becoming designated as a New York State Breastfeeding Friendly Practice. The webinar will discuss the relationship between this designation and the Prevention Agenda 2013-2017, and will review the action steps that need to be taken over time to achieve this status, including participation in the virtual learning network. Participation in this webinar should be viewed as a first installment of the virtual learning network. 

Learning Objectives:
After this program participants will be able to

  • Illustrate the connection between being designated as a Breastfeeding Friendly Practice and the Prevention Agenda.
  • Identify at least 4 of the 10 Steps to create, encourage or support a Breastfeeding Friendly Practice.
  • Name three resources available to support a Breastfeeding Friendly Practice
  • Describe early adopters of Breastfeeding Friendly Practices in New York State.
