Documentary screening: "Searching for Timbuctoo" - Friday, November 12

On Friday, November 12, 2021, the New York State Writers Institute will host a screening of the new documentary, "Searching for Timbuctoo." The documentary, directed by UAlbany graduate Paul Miller, reconstructs the history of Timbuctoo, a free Black settlement in the Adirondacks near Lake Placid, funded by abolitionist Gerrit Smith.
