Whether you're taking one online class or enrolled in a fully online program, UAlbany's robust support services are available to you.


Advising Services 

Advisors are here to guide your through your studies: 

  • Degree-seeking undergraduate students should contact Academic Advising

  • Non-degree and visiting undergraduate students should contact the Office of General Studies

  • All graduate students should contact their advisor, who is assigned by their academic department.

Tutoring Services 

  • Tutoring: UAlbany offers free tutoring for current students, including online tutoring through NetTutor.

  • Writing Center: All students can access free writing support in any discipline from the Writing Center.

Other Support Services 

  • Disability Access & Inclusion Student Services (DAISS): DAISS supports and empowers all UAlbany students by fostering an accessible, inclusive educational environment. Request reasonable accommodations, get any accessibility questions answered and learn how to best advocate for yourself. 

  • University Libraries: Our libraries offer a wide array of resources and services online — including books, media, databases, reference sources, subject guides, interlibrary loans, webinars and more. 

  • Student Financial Services: The Offices of Financial Aid and Student Accounts are here to help you finance your education. Learn about tuition, fees and financial liability, apply for financial aid and scholarships, and pay your bill. 

  • Information Technology Services (ITS): ITS supports and manages all campus software and hardware, so their staff can help you troubleshoot issues or access the technology you need. Get started by reviewing the Student Guide to Technology at UAlbany

  • Office of the RegistrarThe Registrar sets the Academic Calendar, publishes the Schedule of Classes and manages the class registration process. This office also handles transcript requests and transfer credits. Register for classes.

  • University BookstoreStudents can order textbooks and other class materials online through the University Bookstore. You’ll need your department code, course number and class section number handy.
