Overview
These Research Grants on Reducing Inequality support studies that build, test, or deepen understanding of programs, policies, or practices aimed at reducing disparities in academic, social, behavioral, or economic outcomes for U.S. youth ages 5–25. The focus is on inequalities tied to race, ethnicity, economic status, sexual or gender minority status, language minority status, or immigrant origins.
Grants range from $100,000 to $600,000 over 2–3 years for major projects, and $25,000–$50,000 for smaller officer’s grants. Eligible projects include descriptive studies and intervention studies that provide causal evidence, but not those centered on physical health outcomes.
Important Information
Funder distinguishes between Major Research Grants and Officers' Research Grants.
