Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program

What is LSAMP?

The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program aims to increase the number of students entering and completing STEM degree programs in the United States. It is managed by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The program supports students from racial and ethnic groups that are historically underrepresented in STEM disciplines, which include African Americans, Hispanic Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and Native Pacific Islanders.

Eligible students who participate in Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at UAlbany can also participate in the LSAMP program.
