Energy Storage Technology Training Programs

Energy Storage Technology Training Programs

As New York’s clean energy economy rapidly expands and drives job growth, there's a need for skilled workers in the energy storage and clean energy industry in the Capital Region and throughout New York State.

UAlbany offers three programs that leverage faculty expertise and an energy storage laboratory to teach the fundamentals of energy storage, battery cell manufacture and storage unit management. As a program participant, you'll build a battery from start to finish, use batteries with power generation systems and choose from many different experiential learning programs and internships.

Topics will include an introduction to battery design, battery packaging and safety, battery electrochemistry, battery testing, grid storage technology, recycling, and feature an innovative project.
