'The Social Workers' wraps up Fall 2020 episodes
The Social Workers Radio Talk Show taped its final show of the fall 2020 semester. Although no shows could be recorded in the WCDB 90.9FM radio station on the UAlbany Uptown Campus due to COVID-19, co-hosts Dr. Eric Hardiman and Alyssa Lotmore still found ways to produce new episodes.
Many of the episodes this semester focused on COVID-19 and the social worker response, as a number of SSW alumni and community partners have been on the frontlines during this pandemic. Other episodes included experts in the field who came on the show to discuss their upcoming workshops through SSW’s continuing education program.

- While at UAlbany, Hillary (Closs) Dolinsky '11 '12 was in the Honors College, Middle Earth, and was involved with The Social Workers Radio Talk Show. - The SNUG program aims to curb gun violence and save lives by intervening in the aftermath of shootings to prevent retaliation, working with high-risk youth to connect them to services and programs, and other community engagement initiatives. This episode's guests include three social workers who are part of this NYS program: Erika Mendelsohn, LCSW (Statewide Social Work Director of SNUG Street Outreach); Kristin Geiger, LCSW (SNUG Street Outreach Upstate social work supervisor); and Gbolahan Oyekunle ‘GB’ LMSW (SNUG street outreach social worker).
