National Public Health Week 2020

The image is a long rectangle. On the left side, there is the National Public Health Week logo, which is the outline of three people with their arms outstretched. The people are solid colors: green, light blue, and dark blue. The rest of the rectangle is dark blue and has the words "National Public Health Week, April 6-12, 2020" written on it in white letters.

National Public Health Week (NPHW) is an opportunity to highlight some of the greatest public health successes and to celebrate what makes public health so important on a local, national, and global level. At the University at Albany, we are hosting several virtual activities for NPHW (sponsored by UAS). Participating in an activity will enter you in a random drawing to win cool prizes!

Global Health Discussion

Interested in learning more about global health careers, opportunities, and experiences? On Tuesday, April 7 (World Health Day!), join us on Instagram for a discussion on global health, led by Center for Global Health Director John Justino. Ask questions and a panel of faculty and students affiliated with our Center for Global Health will respond. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Graduate Certificate in Global Health Studies and global health opportunities here at our School.

You can also share your own global health experiences and answer questions from others. The first ten participants will receive a Center for Global Health t-shirt and all participants will be entered to win additional prizes.

Join us as we participate in the NPHW Twitter Chat. @NPHW will post the questions on Twitter and you can post your responses from your account. Use the hashtag #UAlbanySPH to be entered to win a prize (and so that we can easily find and share your responses!).

On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, visit our Facebook page to visit the virtual "gallery" of these images and the stories that accompany them.

Liking or commenting on any photo in the gallery will earn you an entry into our random prize drawing. A physical gallery, also sponsored by UAS, is located in the George Education Center on the Health Sciences Campus.
