About the Speaker
Manjiri Joshi, MPH works as an Evaluation Specialist with AIDS institute at Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology. She has her Master’s in Public health from University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her work at the AIDS institute focuses on conducing evaluation and research on Partner services and STI surveillance data. She has experience with data analytics, research, public health programming and surveillance.
Learning objectives
By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Summarize estimated rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) by current gender identity in New York State (excluding New York City).
2. Describe how existing datasets were used to calculate current gender identity
3. Describe how multiple system estimate (capture/ recapture) method was used to estimate possible missingness for transgender population in an existing STI surveillance system
