The WGSS Department Joined the 2022 National Women’s Studies Association Conference

The 2022 National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA) annual conference took place in Minneapolis during November 10-13. It included panels, workshops, roundtables, book showcases, receptions, special tours, and plenty of opportunities to connect with scholars, teachers, students, artists, advocates, and community organizers from the United States and from around the world. 

The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department was pleased to join this event with around a dozen presentations by UAlbany students, faculty, and recent alums. We were also proud to see WGSS core faculty member, Prof. Janell Hobson, featured in more than one NWSA special event, including the prominent panel, “Fifty Years of Ms.: The Magazine That Ignited a Movement.”
